 Our company was founded in 1965 in the Northern town of Kontea by Christakis Agathangelou, and was the first stainless steel manufacturing company on the island.
In 1976, after invasion and occupation of the north of the island, Christakis Agathangelou re-established a new industrial plant in Nicosia and became specialised in manufacturing industrial stainless steel tanks and food processing machinery.
Throughout the years, our company was able to grow, expand and develop the know-how and expertise to become the leader in its sector in Cyprus. In 1997, Angelos Agathangelou, the young food engineer and son of Christakis Agathangelou, took over management of the company and began a steady expansion, continuing the development of modern expertise and knowledge to become the number one supplier for the rapidly industrialising island in the food processing industry and for storage and transport of chemicals and liquids. In 2003, two young engineers, Marios Christou and Michalis Michael, entered as partners into the business, adding invaluable expertise and fresh perspectives to continue the drive towards modernization of the company and its technology. In 2005, Christakis Agathangelou retired. He is still considered one of the pioneers of the Cypriot industry. In the same year, the company expanded further, building an assembly and manufacturing sister company in Jordan, Jordan Stainless Steel, to supply European technology at competitive prices to neighbouring Middle Eastern and African industries. Today, our company complies with new EC directives on all systems and machinery. We provide technological assistance from planning to startup, know-how information and raw material supply to offer optimum quality products. Stimulated by market needs,we now produce lines of production designed for ideal application to small and medium sized industries.
